Giving us feedback

March 14 - tell us your thoughts

Meet with us in Chapman Hall between the services to share your ideas. The Covenant Team would like to hear which parts you feel should not be changed and how you would like other passages to be improved.

How to submit your ideas

  • Email your comments
  • Write your comments and put the paper in the Covenant box in the Narthex or in the Bookstore mailbox.
  • Come to the meeting on March 14.

Adoption by the congregation

After the comments have been considered, the team will submit the final draft of the Covenant of Right Relations to the Board which will bring it to a congregational meeting for adoption, probably on April 25.

How did this process begin?

On October 24 dozens of us gathered in a congregational workshop where we shared ideas for a Covenant of Right Relations. Victor Place, Carol Madoerin, and Nancy Samuels were invited to form a writing team to bring together, review, and summarize the thoughts and comments of the congregation.

The team met several times since that workshop to synthesize the many ideas into an organized and coherent statement of covenant that is specific and instructive to our congregation as we work toward our mission.
