New Year's Eve Dance Party

December 31, 2012

Party hatsHighlights

Dance and visit with UU friends at the New Year’s Eve party from 8:30 p.m. until after midnight.

Whether you swing, salsa, or rock, you will hear music that fills your body with movement and compels you to dance. If your feet would rather be tucked under a table than twirling and tapping, come sit with friends and enjoy their conversation.

Bring your own booze and we will provide the rest. All that dancing will leave you weak, so we are planning an array of snacks, including shrimp, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices.

Add your tunes to the playlist

If you want to contribute music, please place a CD in the Web mailbox by Christmas. Mark the CD with your name, phone number, email address, and the songs you want to be played. The DJ will return your CD to the Web mailbox after compiling the playlist. Please do not bring CDs to the party, because the playlists will already be created.

Tickets and RSVP

Tickets are $10 per person plus $10 for all children in a family. Nancy and Bruce Samuels will sell tickets after services on December 16 and 23. You will be able to buy tickets at the door, but we encourage pre-sales to provide the money we require for food, beverages, and decorations. We do not receive money from the church for this event.

If you do not purchase a ticket before New Year's Eve, please RSVP to help us plan enough food. RSVP to Nancy and Bruce Samuels.

Children

Please let us know by Christmas that your children will be celebrating with us. This will help us plan age-appropriate activities and hire enough caregivers.

Volunteers needed

This party is designed to require a minimal crew to maximize the number of people who come purely to enjoy themselves.  However, we need a few people to help set up and clean up.  Please contact Nancy and Bruce Samuels to offer your help.
