Advocates for Women is a group of women and men who are passionate about improving the lives of women suffering from gender inequality, domestic abuse, sex trafficking, inadequate health care, undereducation, and poverty in the US and around the globe.

The initial spark
Many of us read Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn and were inspired to make a difference in the lives of oppressed women.
