Trained in vocal performance and a national finalist in the Chicago Lyric Opera competition, Wil has performed professionally in recital, musical theater, oratorio and opera with organizations such as Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Federal Way Symphony, Washington Opera East, Second Story Repertory Theater, Seattle Civic Light Opera, Spokane Interplayers Theater, Bellevue Opera and Choir of the Sound.
Most recent roles include, Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Melchior in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Schaunard in La Boheme, Theseus in Midsummer Night Dream, Carl Magnus in A Little Night Music, Marco in The Gondoliers and Elijah in Elijah.
Serving as Music Director at Edmonds Unitarian Church for the past 10 years, Wil is also a conductor, composer and arranger of contemporary, folk and sacred music and has recorded three CDs including "Meditations for Sacred Spaces," a contemporary mass entitled "Ode to Iona" and a collection of opera, lieder and musical theater vocal selections entitled "Collage."
Born and raised in Montana, he had a passion for music at an early age and has become accomplished playing several instruments including guitar, piano, percussion, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls and Native American flute.
