Providing a Safe Place to Sleep

EUUC Car Camp

EUUC provides ten spaces in our parking lot for our homeless neighbors who are living in their cars. The guests must be single women or families with minor children and are referred to us from the 211 Emergency Social Service Network, social service agencies, other faith communities and local police departments. Guests are screened, registered and given their own parking space. They can park from early evening until morning. The Car Camp is run by a dedicated Core Team of seven and supported by many volunteers in the Congregation.

Cold Weather Shelter

We All Belong is a cold weather shelter operating in the Edmonds Senior Center whenever the temperature dips below 32° F. Throughout the winter on one night every week, EUUC volunteers run this shelter. They greet the guests, prepare a hot dinner, stay through the night, prepare breakfast, and send the clients off with a brown-bag lunch.

Interfaith Shelter in Everett

The Interfaith Shelter allows families to stay together instead of separating the men from the women and children. For more than 20 years, EUUC funding supports the shelter and its assistance with transitional housing costs.
