A discussion list is an email distribution list that people join. When a member of the list emails a message to the list address, all the members get the email. Non-members may also send messages to the list, but the moderator must approve the email before it goes to the group. This eliminates spam.
In addition to the pages you can access from the left navigation bar, each list has a few system-generated pages. For each of these links, substitute the name of your discussion list for ListName.
