Members shall have the right to use church facilities, free of charge, for weddings and memorial services in which they, or their immediate family, are personally involved. Member use for any other purpose, including wedding receptions, shall be charged at a rental rate of 50% of the current rental rates charged for non-members. Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of the Administrator and the Rental Coordinator from the Finance Committee.
When a church member belongs to a local community service organization, which needs space for an occasional open meeting, the member may sponsor such a meeting by said organization in the church, at a 50% reduction of the rental normal rental rates. The member shall be responsible for returning facilities to acceptable condition and for any expense of setup or cleanup. Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of the Administrator and the Rental Coordinator from the Finance Committee.
Space may be rented by non-profit non-church individuals or organizations, provided that such use does not interfere with and is not detrimental to church programs or activities.
Those areas which have been established as subject to property tax may be rented to for-profit organizations.
A schedule of rental fees shall be maintained by the Finance Committee and shall be reviewed annually. Custodial fees shall be quoted separately and shall be mandatory for Saturday night rentals. A deposit shall be required of the renter at the time the building is reserved. (See Building Use Procedures in Appendix E.)
