DONATION GUIDELINES EUUC RUMMAGE SALE

 

DONATIONS WE WELCOME:  Please donate items you would buy or use yourself

Clean, usable clothing, shoes and accessories

  • Clean, usable linens – towels, sheets, blankets, comforters, tablecloths, placemats, fabric
  • Small working appliances (Large see below)
  • Small pieces of furniture
  • Jewelry
  • Household items without cracks, chips or stains
  • Sports equipment in working order
  • Pictures
  • Toys that are intact
  • Books – recent publications please; we are drowning in books
  • Tools
  • Electronic items that work
  • Plants

 

DONATIONS WE CANNOT USE OR SELL

 

When these items are donated, rummage sale volunteers spend time sorting through them, discarding them and then disposing of them. Value Village and Goodwill accept old clothing and linens for threadcycling. Please help our volunteers by donating usable items.

 

  • Clothing that is stained, faded, worn out (if in doubt, throw it out)
  • Linens that are stained, faded, worn out
  • Broken appliances or those with missing pieces like cords
  • Used memory foam or egg crate foam
  • Outdated books – textbooks, encyclopedias, reference books
  • Automotive goods or tires
  • Baby equipment – especially car seats
  • Cassette tapes
  • Building materials
  • Large appliances, working or otherwise
  • Used plumbing parts – sinks, etc
  • Food
  • Personal hygiene items – opened, partially used bottles of lotions, etc.
  • Dishes, glassware, vases with chips and cracks
  • If you have a large piece of furniture to donate, you must label the item with your name, address, and phone number, and agree to remove it yourself on Saturday afternoon if it doesn’t sell. If you have questions about what is acceptable, contact us at rummage@euuc.org

We can accept Donations

  • After Second Service the Sunday before the sale
  • Until Noon Wednesday just before the sale
