Agros International is our Cause for June. Agros’s main focus is on those living in extreme poverty in rural areas in Central America. Their mission is to see rural poor families own agricultural land and attain economic self-sufficiency. Land is the foundation of their approach which is holistic, designed to address the complexities of poverty including land, market-led agriculture, health, education and financial empowerment. Their model has helped more than 10,000 people move sustainably out of poverty during the past thirty years. The organization is headquartered in Seattle with a 30 member staff in Central America.
