Innovations Human Trafficking Collaborative (Innovations HTC) is an Indigenous survivor-led social justice non-profit based in Olympia WA. Innovations HTC mission is to engage first responders, tribes, and other stakeholders in eliminating human trafficking through solution-based knowledge and trauma-informed strategies, and to empower survivors to heal and build self-sufficient, affirming lives. Much of Innovations HTC’s initial funding came from the director’s work as a trainer around the country, where she used the fees to support their direct services. This has dried up with COVID. Our funds will go to support their 2021 summer leadership program (the Mariposa Project), enabling training for ~12 survivors who have been on their healing journey for long enough to have the mental and physical space (plus the personal attributes) to want to become leaders and advocates.
