The January Cause of the month is the Pink Haven. Pink Haven is a collective of organizations and individuals who are committed to trans liberation and joy and to growing community defense, mutual-aid, and alternative systems of care for gender diverse people.
In response to the increasingly hostile legislative environment in the United States, with more than 550 legislative acts in the last year seeking to eradicate transgender people from public life, they are working together to create networks of safety and direct support for trans beloveds and their families who need to relocate, access healthcare across state lines, or stay as safe as possible where they are.
The funds donated by EUUC for direct cash assistance to trans individuals and families with trans children who are relocating out of states where their lives are under attack and moving to states where they are able to access healthcare and safety. Support includes rental assistance, healthcare, medicine costs, transportation, and others.
They have the will, the compassion, the experience, the pluck, and the resources to keep our trans communities and gender expansive beloveds safe. Centering the security of the trans organizers leading this work, Pink Coalition are gathering supporters from a wide array of communities and organizations.
As always, thank you for your generous donations.
