On May 29, 2019 our congregation voted to take a stand in favor
of equal justice and fair treatment for people of all races and ethnicities. Together we approved of the following statement:

Believing in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and justice, equity and compassion in human relations, we commit to racial justice and the identification and dismantling of white supremacy culture. We recognize the intersectionality of identities and social justice issues. We will:

  • Work to end racial discrimination and injustice within ourselves, our Congregation, our denomination, and in the world around us.
  • Engage in public witness, serving as allies on issues disproportionately
    impacting people of color.
  • Advocate to end racist policies such as mass imprisonment and voter
    suppression.

We will continue working toward our vision of a just and sustainable world as we
promote inclusion, diversity, and equity.
