With Rev. Eric Kaminetzky’s retirement from serving as EUUC’s Settled Minister, our congregation is entering a journey that will take us through three different types of ministry, one after another.

First, our Board of Trustees has chosen members of a Search Committee to help us find a Minister to work with us from January of 2025 through June or July of 2025. The Minister(s) we bring on for this period of time will help us hold the ministry while we prepare to search for an Interim Minister.

Our Interim Minister will help us take a look at where we have been as a congregation, where we are now, and where we hope to be going. That work will aid us in gaining a better understanding of our strengths, talents, interests, and experiences. We will also be in a better position to find a good match for our next Settled Minister. And we must clearly and authentically describe our current ministry as we begin working to create our next Settled Ministry.

To find our Interim Minister the Board will form a different Search Committee, though there may be some overlap from one Search Committee to the next.

Our situation is unique because of having to bridge the time from when Rev. Kaminetzky completed his service with us on December 31st, 2024 until the beginning of the search cycle for Interim Ministers that will start in the Spring of 2025.

Our Interim Minister will likely stay with us for a year or two to help us prepare to search for our next Settled Ministry.

Please know that our Board, our Committee on Ministry, our Arms Around Committee, our Staff, and our Search Team(s) will be working together to help us move in to and through all of these stages so that we can open new chapters of ministry for our community.
