Babies of Homelessness grew from one woman’s efforts to help into a growing non-profit. They mobilize the community to deliver essential items to babies, toddlers, and young children living in homeless encampments, in their cars/RVs, and shelters in the greater Seattle area.

Babies of Homelessness has purchased and delivered diapers, baby food, and clothing.  They offer help and assistance to the parents before the issue  becomes a  Child Protection Services concern.

The greater goal is to have a voice at the state legislature level raising awareness for the need of more safe housing options for these families. There are nearly 4,000 homeless children in the 15 school districts in Snohomish County. Of those, 661 are in the Edmonds School District.

What is the Sunday Offering?

When the baskets are passed during Sunday services, people contribute cash and checks to help the recipient organization which was chosen for that month. Checks written to “EUUC” with “cause” on the memo line and all cash are tallied each Sunday. At the end of the month, a check is written for the recipient organization.
