Ethnic skin and hair differ between multicultural groups, but all women of color have distinctive skin and hair requirements. Hyperpigmentation is the biggest skin problem, and hair concerns include frequent breakage and alopecia (loss of hair). Multicultural skin and hair products created to treat these unique conditions are vital to women of color; however, ethnic skincare products are rarely donated to women’s shelters in our area.

From May 5th through May 26th EUUC members will have the opportunity to help us fulfill this unmet need.

Advocates for Women, and the Racial Justice Committees are co-sponsoring a fundraiser to purchase ethnic hair and skin products for women in transitional housing at Pathways for Women, and the Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.

Please visit our table in the Atrium, before and after service, to learn more about this specific need and ways to help. Questions?  Contact A4W@euuc.org
