March 28, 2020   9 am to 1 pm with lunch provided.

Edmonds Library Plaza Room
650 Main St., Edmonds, WA 98020

This workshop, sponsored by Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation, League of Women Voters of Snohomish County, Sno-Isle Sierra Club, and Interfaith Climate Action, will provide a hopeful alternative to depressing news about the climate. We are showing people things that they can do today to help save the planet. We are reaching out to people who feel ready to take action and want to engage in dialogue about how to move forward.

The day begins with a panel discussion featuring Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson: Cameron Coronado, Lynnwood Public Works; Paul Roberts, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency; and Climate Solutions providing an overview of current and projected local government and community efforts to move quickly to address the climate change crisis.

Next are four concurrent breakout sessions addressing:
• State and Local Climate Action: Getting Plugged In
• Reducing Your Carbon Footprint
• Climate Activists Speak, What They Can Teach Us
• Climate Change Grief and Anxiety

$10 suggested donation collected at the door, but all are welcome.
Doors open at 8:45 am with light snacks and coffee.
Lunch is provided.

Please reserve your spot so we’ll have enough lunch!
