EUUC sponsors several off-site events, including the annual Summer Family Campout and Seabeck Church Retreat.

2026 Summer Campout

Having found no one to spearhead the Campout in 2025 we look forward to camping 2026.

Join us on an unstructured camping retreat at a family-friendly reserved group campsite. Come for the s’mores, the campfires, and the community.  Summer Campout 2026 dates are TBD.

If roughing it overnight isn’t your scene, but you would still like to drive up for the day on Saturday, day-pass’s are available at the front gate, or use your Discover Pass for the day!

Forming friendships and having fun together

The annual church retreat is at the Seabeck Conference Center on beautiful Hood Canal. We promise a weekend of relaxation, fellowship, programs, and fun. Seabeck is an unhurried time to spend time together with family and friends, some of whom you may not yet know well. There is ample time to play games, share stories.

Theme 2025 is: Change the world through Music.

We are joined in 2025 by special guest, Melanie DeMore, who is a three time Grammy nominated Musician

Melanie DeMore is a three-time Grammy-nominated singer/composer, choral conductor, music director, and vocal activist who believes in the power of voices raised together. In her presentations, DeMore beautifully brings her participants together through her music and commentary. She has shared the stage with some of the world’s most notable musicians and political activists from Gloria Steinem, Odetta, Pete Seeger and Ronnie Gilbert, (two of the four original members of the  Weavers), Judy Collins, Holly Near, Buffy Saint Marie, John Prine, Josh White, Jr., Laura Nyro, Sweet Honey in the Rock, and Ani DiFranco.

We are grateful to have her with us. Here is an interview of Melanie by Holly Near.
