5/24   Tuesday  Last day to donate to Worldwide Fistula. All online donations to Advocates for Women made through 5/24 will be sent to Worldwide Fistula.

5/25 through June 17   Fundraiser for I Need an Abortion. To donate, use the Give button at the top right of this page. During the fundraiser, all online donations will be given to I Need an Abortion.

6/6      Monday 7 – 8:30 pm. A4W Monthly Meeting

6/16    Thursday 4:30 – 6 pm. Whatever Makes You Happy, Happy Hour. Location to be decided. We will discuss the same articles as we did for the May Café Connections; there is plenty to talk about. 

6/18 – 9/1 Any online donations to Advocates for Women during this time will go to the cause you specify in the Comments field, unless we have already sent the check to the organization. In that case we will hold your donation and it will benefit the beneficiary that is chosen by the A4W members for the 2022/23 year. Donations will go to Worldwide Fistula if the beneficiary is not specified.

11/18 – Thursday, 3-4:30 pm. Discussion of the book The Three Mothers, by  Anna Malaika Tubbs. The three mothers, whose stories have been neglected, had a profound impact on their three sons: Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and James Baldwin.

12/12 – Sunday 4-5:30 pm – Discussion of the film Ask for Jane, a fictionalized movies about the Jane Collective, which helped women in Indiana find abortions in the late 1960s.
