English Romantic poet William Blake wrote, ““My mother groaned / my father wept / into the dangerous world I leapt.” There are, of course, many ways to think of what birth is and what it means. This service will consider birth as a metaphor for the power of creation and its invitation for us to live fully and boldly in the face of challenges.
