Kits to mine workers in Rajasthan

People for Progress in India (PPI) is a Seattle based 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization that strives to promote sustainable development among underprivileged communities in India. PPI partners with grassroots non-profit organizations in India to develop holistic solutions to problems and to help people become self-sufficient. Sustainable farming, clean drinking water, tree planting and environmental awareness, education and welfare of children, and skills training are some of our areas of focus. EUUC’s donations will be dedicated to their continued support for those impacted by Covid-19 and other disaster relief.

In 2020, PPI sent Covid-19 relief grants to 7 NGOs that requested help.

In 2021, when the second wave of Covid-19 severely affected large sections of the population in India, PPI stepped up to help many more partner NGOs and sent relief grants to 17 NGOs. These grants were largely utilized for emergency relief supplies (non-perishable food, as well as hygiene-related and other household items). Additionally, one NGO used the relief grant to provide an EKG machine to a hospital and another utilized the grant to provide seed to farmers for growing food crops.
