May Sunday Offering – Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho

Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI) is the Sunday cause of the month for May. PPGWNI  has been helping people make responsible decisions about their sexual health for over 50 years. Dedicated to delivering the highest quality reproductive health care services since 1967, PPGWNI is also committed to providing age appropriate sexuality education.

The mission of PPGWNI is to provide exceptional reproductive and complementary health care services, honest communication and fearless advocacy for all. Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho has 11 clinics across Central and Eastern Washington. NONE of these clinics are in ID that is because of challenging state laws that restrict our ability to be present.

They offer a variety of health care services, including annual check ups, Pap tests and abnormal pap management, breast exam UTI diagnosis and treatment, abortion- medical or surgical, adoption referral, vasectomy, PrEP pre exposure prophylaxis, and testicular cancer screening and referral. These services are provided for all, regardless of ability to pay, race, color, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation or gender identity. This aligns with our UU principle of the inherent dignity and worth of every person.

Note from Cory Groe, Philanthropy Specialist. “Thank you all for choosing to donate to Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho. I can’t begin to explain how much your donations and support make an impact to our patients. You are a part of an incredibly important team that is fighting to provide essential and equitable health care to all.”

The Advocates for Women group submitted this organization be the Sunday Offering recipient in May 2023 to coincide with our sponsoring a Congregational Stand on Reproductive Justice.

As always, thank you for your generous donations.
