The October Cause of the month is the Legal Voice. Legal Voice believes that all people facing gender discrimination should be able to live their lives with dignity, safety, and autonomy. From courtrooms to the court of public opinion, they challenge patriarchal and racist power structures to widen pathways to justice.
To accomplish their mission, Legal Voice works in the Northwest’s courtrooms, legislatures and communities – creating and enforcing strong, equitable laws and empowering all women and LGBTQ people to know their rights. They serve Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and Alaska.
The work of Legal Voice aligns with EUUC’s Stand on Reproductive Justice, our principals of the inherent worth and dignity of every person and our 8th principal of working to build a diverse multicultural community..by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.
The funds donated by EUUC will be used by Legal Voice towards their work in neighboring states in support of reproductive justice.
Please help Legal Voice continue their work to co-create a world where we are each seen in our full humanity and thrive in communities free from oppression and racism.
