December Cause of the Month – Women for Women International

Women for Women International

The December Cause of the month is the Women for Women International. Women for Women International’s mission is to help women around the world, particularly those affected by war and conflict, to create sustainable change for themselves, their families and communities. Their vision is to create a world where women can reach their full potential and determine their own lives.

Since 1993, Women for Women International has invested in the power of over 500,000 women who are forgotten — the women survivors of war and conflict — to learn the skills they need to rebuild their families and communities. Their goal is by 2030, to invest in the power of one million women around the world.

They work in some of the worst places to be a woman in the world.

They have also started men’s support programs in their longer established areas where whole communities have seen the benefits of lifting women and girls

The funds donated by EUUC will go to the branch of Women for Women International working in Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan, Bosnia/Herzegovina, and Kosovo.

We know that women pass on their knowledge to their neighbors and children, creating a ripple effect for generations. By investing in women, we create a better world for all of us – a world that’s more equal, peaceful, and prosperous. That is the power of women, for women.
