March Cause of the Month – Elizabeth Gregory Home

The March cause of the month is Elizabeth Gregory HomeElizabeth Gregory Home (EGH) provides a welcoming and respectful refuge where women who are experiencing homelessness, trauma, or economic insecurity have access to a caring community and critical resources.

EGH provides the following VITAL resources to homeless women in Seattle:

1. Drop-in Day Shelter in Seattle’s University District. It’s open six days a week, with showers, hot meals, locked storage lockers, computers, medical care, library, clothing and health/home supplies. Last year 564 individual women visited the Day Shelter. By September this year, they had already surpassed that figure
2. Case Managers for referrals, support, and advocacy to obtain educational and vocational training, job skills, employment, medical care, mental health counseling, drug and alcohol addiction support, and referrals to shelter or housing.
3. Transitional Housing Program – when openings arise, based on eligibility, clients can access to the separate 12-bedroom facility

The funds donated by EUUC will be unrestricted so the organization can continue their important work in the ways they deem necessary.

As always, thank you for your generous donations.
