The Congregation’s generous Social Justice pledges made is possible for us to fund the the following organizations. All are in keeping with our UU interdependent values focused on love, such as generosity, equity, and justice.
Abused Deaf Women Advocacy Services – $1185 for aid in Deaf and Deaf/Blind victims/survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking, including legal, medical, psychotherapy, vocational services and long term housing.
Westside Baby – $800 towards providing essential items such as diapers, formula, car seats, toys, and equipment to families in need throughout Western King County.
Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and Northern Idaho –$500 to support reproductive health services at low cost for people in Washington and Idaho.
Cedar Valley Clinics – $500 so women and LGPTQ individuals can receive reproductive health services on a sliding scale in Washington State.
Additionally we donated $700 to the Worldwide Fistula Fund for their work in restoring women’s lives through surgical treatment of obstetric fistula in Africa.
