Propose a Fundraiser

Step 1 of 5 - Overview

0%
  • If your group is planning to hold a fundraiser, you will need to submit this form, preferably a couple months before your event. Finance prefers that you submit your proposal through this online form.

    fundraising_proposal.pdf

However, you can download the form above and submit it to the Finance mailbox. In the early stages of planning fundraisers, some committees look to third party organizations, like Charity Navigator ( http://www.charitynavigator.org/), to help them evaluate the  organization.
  • Contact Information

  • Project Description

  • Specific date and time or a period with start and end dates.
  • Recipient

Please tell us about the organization that will benefit from this fundraiser.
  • The number is often on a charity's website. You can also look it up on the IRS site: https://www.irs.gov/Charities-&-Non-Profits/Exempt-Organizations-Select-Check
  • We would like both a phone number and an email address, but just one of them will be ok.
  • Money

  • Money Handler

All funds are submitted to the front office. The monies are deposited, and at the end of the fundraiser one check is sent to the recipient. Who will be responsible for the money? Who will collect, track, count, and turn it in to the office?
Before the event starts, will you need money to purchase supplies, pay for advertising, or incur some other expense?
