Let us remember that our congregational home,
this site on which we gather, is placed on the ancestral lands of the Snohomish people, who have inhabited this region of the Salish Sea
since time immemorial, and who continue their livelihoods on these lands today.
May we all live and learn -- humbly -- as allies to the Snohomish.
It is a paradox that in spite of great gains economically, Americans do not feel any happier today than they did fifty years ago. Why is this and what can we do to find happiness amidst the challenges of everyday life?
