The gifts of the season have been opened: coveted items, experiences and surprises, the warmth of friends and family, as well as the recognition of grief. The tinsel has been swept up and now we breathe. We hold space for what is to come in the new year. Now is the time to pause in the liminal space between now and then, sitting in the unknowing of what is to come. Liminal is derived from the Latin word limen meaning “threshold” the transition from one year to another. Together we will embrace both the ambiguity and the possibility of transformation with time for reflection, introspection, and good intentions, though not necessarily resolutions. There will be candles!
