Let us remember that our congregational home,
this site on which we gather, is placed on the ancestral lands of the Snohomish people, who have inhabited this region of the Salish Sea
since time immemorial, and who continue their livelihoods on these lands today.
May we all live and learn -- humbly -- as allies to the Snohomish.
The Rev. Dr Behrend has been working in the field of human consciousness for over thirty-five years as a minister, educator, consultant, speaker. She worked with couples, families and individuals through all of life’s transitions while in the parish, she brings that experience currently to her private counseling practice in Olympia. Dr Behrend has lectured nationally and internationally on feminism, the creative imperative, and universal patterns of human thought and behavior as well as developing and implementing curricula and programs for all ages; she has served as a consultant to churches, congregations and educational institutions both locally and internationally.
She holds a Doctor of Ministry, a Master of Divinity from Meadville/Lombard Theological school and is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association, the Jung Society of Seattle, and the Assisi Institute Alumni Association.
